Water Color Palette - Dive Into The Deep Blue Sea

The Water color palette combines the cool colors of turquoise, blue and a blue-based purple. Sometimes referred to as Deep Blue Sea, this palette was inspired by the rich color of the vast Pacific Ocean. A compliment to the warm palette Flame, this was one of the first colorways I created for my jewelry line. It is consistently a customer favorite—this palette is a classic for a reason!

Cool colors are known for being soothing and relaxing. This particular combination evokes a sense of tranquility (turquoise and blue) with a hint of mystery (purple), like the depths of the ocean.

I rarely add violet or red-based purples to this colorway. I also tend not to add colors that lean green. (Though—trivia alert!—I may need to change that, as the world’s oceans are in fact becoming greener! Source: Climate Change Lends New Color To The Ocean) By custom request, I'm happy to add either of these extras; sometimes the added hue is exactly what is needed to compliment a specific outfit or aesthetic.

When making an ombre, I may add intermediary colors to the palette to create as seamless gradient as possible. I may also add darker colors, as shown in the Fringe Bib necklace at the bottom center of the graphic. That necklace includes dark purple (midnight), iridescent gunmetal and black.
