Times are listed in Pacific and Eastern Time; convert for your location.

This is not a formal class; please bring your own project to work on. See Additional Details below for more information.

You should be able to attend live; there are no replays. No refunds so make sure you can join before you register.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Do you have an incomplete project that you want to clear off your worktable once and for all?
  • Are you stuck on a certain step in a Blue Buddha Boutique tutorial?*
  • Would you like to finally find a use for that pile of rings that you have no idea what to do with?
  • Do you have a ton of gifts to make, but keep procrastinating on getting started?
  • Do you like working alongside others who are also crafting?
  • Would you like to prioritize "you" time to re-awaken your creative muse?

Then Group Craft is for you. Connect with me and other crafters as we work on our projects and learn from one another. I'll have one camera set up above my hands so you'll be able to see what I'm working on and watch any demonstrations in response to your questions.

At least 48 hours prior to the first session, you'll receive a Zoom link sent to the same email address you used when purchasing your sessions.

FAQ

Why would I pay someone to do something I could do on my own?
Well, if you've been staring at unfinished projects for months, then really, they aren't being done, are they? 😉 Sometimes a little extra motivation can be just what you need to tackle a project that you've been putting off. It's the same reason why some people hire personal trainers—sure, you could try to do a bunch of push-ups on your own, but aren't you much more likely to do it when you're paying someone to support you? I am a person that enjoys being around other people who are doing crafty things, and it inspires me to keep going and doing the things! So if any of that resonates with you, then join us for Group Craft!

I get anxious meeting new people and think Zoom can be awkward. Is this for me?
Hi! *waves* That's me, too! We can be awkward together! If you're shy, feel free to let me know on the optional info form you'll receive ahead of class, and let me know anything that I can do to make the space feel more welcoming. You can participate as much or as little as you like each session - there will be a brief ice-breaker question or two (you'll be sent the question ahead of time, so no surprises), and show and tell is always encouraged! Group Craft is our "escape" from the stress, so we'll steer us away from stressful/controversial topics and concentrate on cute animals, exciting crafts and fun experiences.

What will you be working on during the session?
It varies, and will depend on what questions y'all have. I'll have all my ring sizes on hand, so I can put together samples and demos. I have some inlays in mind, so I may chip away at those for a bit. If you need a pep talk, I'm also happy to share some techniques that work for me when I'm in a creative rut. It's likely that I'll spend the first few minutes of each session doing a quick demo or giving a short review of a creative book or project.

I have a business. Can I share my website and social media info?
YES!!! Please do! Each session will have a spreadsheet so attendees can add their websites/Etsy shops and social media links.

TO BRING

  • An internet and video capable device with the most recent version of Zoom
  • For added accountability, I ask that you have your camera turned on, however if you're more comfortable with it off, feel free to leave it turned off
  • Whatever materials you need (feel free to work on other crafts as well, just know that I can't help you with them)
  • Questions you'd like to ask (you'll also have the chance to submit them ahead of time, which increases the likelihood that I'll be able to help)
  • Food/drink for yourself if you’d like

Other Questions?
Contact me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

* If you have questions about a Blue Buddha tutorial that you’ve purchased, this is a great chance to pick my brain. I don’t know everything, but I’ll help if I can! Please note that if the project lists a designer's name other than myself, I may not be familiar enough with the weave to offer suggestions on the spot. Note that I won't provide advice for non Blue Buddha patterns unless you have explicit permission from& the designer, or it is a classic weave with no known creator.

Rebeca is fabulous!

Rebeca is a friendly and personable lady and knowledgeable in a wide variety of weaves! I know I can be difficult, but she's super patient and I really enjoyed the time set aside to craft for a few hours. 10/10 experience

In my life I rarely get in on something before the teeming masses, but through happenstance I was able to take advantage of the opportunity to join the first round of the group craft. If you have ever wanted to pick Rebeca’s brain, see her creative process, or chat with others who love chain maille, this is the way to do so. I will treasure this time and am looking forward to another round.
